Random Thoughts

I owe myself, and probably my LJ Friends, a whole slew of posts. Unfortunately, it's not likely to happen, so rather than let guilt overwhelm me, I'll just throw out some random thoughts I've had today as I've slogged away.

• First week of classes is always exciting. Email is overwhelming right now, and we've got too many things going on to effectively juggle them all. I hope I don't drop any big things.
• Tazo is not good tea. I'm drinking Earl Grey right now and am not sure whether I'll finish it or dump it. That's some crazy kind of "bergamot" they use in it!
• I noticed this morning that my Hot Pot in the office is starting to produce flakes off the heating element; I fear that some of those flakes actually ended up in my already-unappealing tea. Since I don't really need any more heavy metals in my diet, I think it's time for a new Hot Pot.
• Not working on my own computer is a pain in the ass. I'm using a 3-year old laptop which I've formatted to my liking, but it's still not my own machine and I'm getting irritated at the wait for my new computer. I should explain this further, since I never did regale you all with the tale of the death of my work machine, but right now is not that time. I'm getting OUTTA here!
